Miami

In 2008, Miami - "The Magic City" - was ranked as "America's Cleanest City" according to Forbes magazine for its year-round good air quality, vast green spaces, clean drinking water, clean streets, and citywide recycling programs.

Miami is home to many entertainment venues, theaters, museums, parks, and performing arts centers. The newest addition is the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the second-largest performing arts center in the United States after the Lincoln Center in New York City, and the home of the Florida Grand Opera. Miami's music is as diverse as its people. Cubans brought the conga and rumba. Dominicans brought bachata, and merengue, while Colombians brought vallenato. West Indians and Caribbean people brought reggae, soca, kompa, zouk, calypso, and steel pan to the area as well.

Popular as a sports city (in part due to its gorgeous weather), Miami is home to the NFL Dolphins, the NBA Heat, the MLB Marlins, and the NHL Panthers.
